He is known as ‘The Mikeyy’ and he is a young entrepreneur who loves his fitness and sports. Recent photographic evidence shows this handsome young man loves his shoes and owns half a room full, no seriously he does. The Aquathon is a fund-raising event in the honor of Parkinson’s patients and their families who are impacted every single day of their lives. This event focuses raising funds to improve the lives and future of people who are touched by this disease and continue the cure-finding research for the disease that affects more than a millions lives in United States alone. Parkinson’s disease is a chronic neurological disorder for which there is no cure to date, but very promising research is being conducted and it needs continued support of the community.

Michael or ‘The Mikeyy’ is the Aquatics Director of Brooklyn Sports Club – the organization that is holding the first ever “Aquathon” event in honor of these individuals and their loved ones who are impacted each day, to raise funds for supporting those affected and aid the research programs focused on the cure-finding of the Parkinson’s disease. ‘The Mikeyy’ lost his beloved father to this disease and ever since he has been committed to the cause of creating awareness, raising funds and providing support to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Brooklyn Sports Club will Swim, Aqua-zumba, and play games to raise money for Parkinson’s Disease Foundation on April 21st 2012.  Since its founding in 1957, PDF (Parkinson’s disease Foundation) has dedicated over $90 million to fund the work of leading scientists throughout the world and over $37 million to support national education and advocacy programs.

Every single dollar, every donation towards this cause makes a big difference in advancing PDF’s mission. More than 81 percent of PDF’s funds go directly toward its programs. PDF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all gifts are tax deductible for United States residents & citizens. However; even if you are outside US and can support, please dig deep and show your generosity. Every dollar counts!
