For me Australia has always been a multicultural country that is full of people from different countries, religions, beliefs, colour, sexuality, shapes and size! It is the same all around the world. The problem is that people don’t accept others for who they are, despite their differences.

Everyone is different! If we were all the same life would be boring. Everyone has the right to love who they want to and be who they want to. Respecting each other and living harmoniously within the community helps to achieve a positive environment for all. Knowing people are different and accepting them for who they are is half the battle.

There have been times in history that we should not be proud of the way we have treated others. But we have also come so far. Acceptance is creeping in and people are starting to understand that we are not all that different. Somebody said once that haters will always be haters but I hope that in the future haters will learn to love!

What goes around comes around and when it comes back you want it to be good. Being nice to people is not hard. Life is what you make it. For me accepting people’s differences is part of life.
